Products & applications
What are the advantages of potato starch?
Potato starch has large granules, a high and clear paste viscosity and very low protein and fat. It gelatinises at a relatively low temperature and forms strong, flexible films, which makes it an effective natural binder and thickener for paper, textiles, adhesives and food. It is renewable and biodegradable. Potato starch is not part of our standard range, but we can discuss sourcing it on request.
How is castor oil used in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals?
Castor oil is rich in ricinoleic acid, which gives it excellent emollient and moisturising properties. Cosmetic formulators use cold pressed and refined grades in lipsticks, hair oils, creams and soaps. In pharmaceuticals, USP grade castor oil is used as an excipient and carrier. Hydrogenated castor oil (HCO) serves as a thickener and wax in topical products.
How does guar gum work with other ingredients?
Guar gum shows strong synergy with other hydrocolloids. Combined with xanthan gum it produces a higher viscosity than either gum alone, and with locust bean gum or starches it improves texture, stability and water binding. Guar gum is not part of our current product list; contact us if you need it alongside other products.
How is iron oxide pigment tested for quality?
Iron oxide pigments are checked for colour shade and tinting strength against a standard, Fe2O3 content, moisture, oil absorption, pH, residue on sieve (fineness) and water soluble salts. Results are reported on a certificate of analysis that we share on request.
Ordering & shipping
What Incoterms do you offer?
We usually quote FOB, CFR or CIF from Mundra or Kandla. FOB means we deliver the goods on board your vessel; CFR adds ocean freight to your port; CIF adds marine insurance as well. Other terms can be discussed.
What is your minimum order quantity?
Minimum quantities depend on the product and packing. For most products we work in full container loads, and we can discuss trial orders or mixed loads for new buyers.
What packaging options are available?
Liquids ship in 200 L drums, 1,000 L IBC totes or flexi tanks. Solids ship in 25 kg or 50 kg bags, multiwall paper bags or jumbo bags. All formats are loaded as full container loads, and private labelling is possible for some products.
Which export documents do you provide?
A standard set includes the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin, plus a certificate of analysis on request. Phytosanitary certificates, fumigation certificates and third party inspection reports are provided where applicable or requested.
What payment terms do you accept?
Payment terms are agreed per contract. Common options include advance payment, partial advance with balance against documents, and letters of credit through recognised banks.
Can I get a sample before ordering?
Yes. Pre-shipment and evaluation samples can be arranged for most products. Tell us the grade and your courier details through the quote builder or contact form.
